My name is Jaime Renard and I am the owner of Avenelle Design & Management; A local design and planning firm that got it’s start right here at the Ocean Reef Club. After working as a Project Manager for a local general contracting company, many aspects of the design and construction process became apparent as the cause for project challenges. In 2018, Avenelle Design & Management was founded with the goal of bridging the communication gap between Client, Contractor and Design Professional to improve upon industry standards.

My Approach

The Avenelle Approach will run your project through a strategic project plan; focusing on layered development that touches on budget, schedule and design simultaneously. Through thoughtful Design Management practices we’ll custom cater to your individual goals to achieve a successful project. As the Lead Designer we’ll explore an array of potential solutions for your space and document all components, selections, and details to effectively communicate with the construction team. Understanding the role of a Licensed Designer

As a Florida Registered Interior Designer, I can provide permit documentation for interior remodels. If your project grows into a larger scale remodel I’ll coordinate with your preferred AOR or facilitate the required structural and/or MEP Engineering at your request. I have a unique career background, while my degree and license is in Interior Design, I also have experience as a Project Manager and Owners Representative. Throughout my career I asked a lot of questions and learned from an incredible group of Engineers, Tradesmen, and Contractors along the way. Classroom knowledge only gets you so far in this industry; In-field experience is what truly allows an individual to become knowledgeable in an industry.

The Council for Interior Design Qualification (CIDQ), independent of state and provincial credentialing bodies, provides the North American public with means to identify interior designers who have demonstrated the minimum level of competence needed to practice interior design. CIDQ offers a professional examination in interior design, and covers those aspects of the practice of interior design that affect the public's health, life style and welfare.

My Mission

In 2018 I started this company with a simple goal of bridging the communication gap between design professional, construction community, and client to allow for a successful remodel project. It has been such an incredible experience to see that vision come to life in so many unexpected ways. I have had the privilege to learn and grow from so many incredible Tradesman, Engineers, Contractors, Vendors, and Clients over the years. Along the way I got the opportunity to understand what truly allows for a successful project. My workflow, and documentation set-up is the culmination of my years of dedicated research. I believe this is the key to training and promoting the next generation to the world of Design and Construction.

The truth is many specialty trades; the notion of creative design thinking and strategic project planning are becoming more difficult to find in today's workforce. The current industry standards no longer align with the current industry needs, and many stereotypes hinder an individual from truly excelling. Additionally new technologies, artificial intelligence, and ongoing code and regulatory adjustments make for a lot of unknowns. I believe we need a fresh approach, and I hope to bring my knowledge and experience to the industry. We all have a purpose and a calling; I think mine is to help develop the next generation get set-up for success in the design and construction industry.

Looking ahead as I grow and expand the Avenelle Design & Management Team, I will also be working to collaborate with key organizations to continue these efforts.
